Configuring Facebook Chat for your Website

Integrating facebook chat



Shoperb supports seamless integration of Facebook chat communication for your website, allowing you to speak with your customers in a better and easier way. To turn the integration on, all you need to do is go to:

Go to "Settings" > "Integrations"
On the "Integrations" panel, go to the "Customer Messaging" section, and choose "Facebook chat"
Fill in your "page ID", enable the integration by pushing the "Status" button on the right and save it.






Finding your page ID



if you don't know your page ID, it is very easy to find it.

Go to your page on Facebook, then go to "About" section. Once there, you will be able to find your "Page ID":





Whitelisting your domain



Due to the nature of Facebook, if you have yet to do so, it will be needed to whitelist your domain on your Facebook page. Otherwise, your chat may not appear on your store website. Assuming your store domain is my-awesome-shoperb-site.com, here's how you can do this.

Go to your Facebook page and click on "Settings"



On the side menu, choose "Advanced Messaging"
Scroll down the page, until you find the White-listed domains settings:



Inside the text input where it says "Add another domain", insert my-awesome-shoperb-store.com and click on "Save"

Note: Facebook integration is now enabled and should properly work on your website.
