How to get the maximum out of your customer group feature?
Filter customer types for campaigns
Customer groups is a valuable tool that enables customer segmentation. This can easily be used as a marketing tool for campaigns like discounts for certain customers through e-mail marketing or a event-related offer that you as a shopkeeper do not want to make public.
How can I apply a discount for a customer group in admin?
Go to "Customer Management" and "Customer groups"
Add customers into groups by choosing "Customer groups" from the drop-down menu.

Click "Add New" and choose the name of the group:

Click "Edit" and edit a group, then choose which customers will be added to the chosen group by typing in the names in the "Select customer" bar.

How to apply discounts?
Go to "Discounts" and choose a discount ( in our case it is 10%):

Click "Edit"

Add all the fields and move to "This discount applies to" select "Customer groups"and move down to the next drop-down.
Find your customer group by the name from the drop-down, press** "Add customer group"** and add the discount.

Now you have an easily manageable list of your top customers for a quick view or search when needed.
A powerful tool for re-selling
Customer group feature is especially useful for companies that work with re-sellers and offer wholesale. This way when your re-seller logs in, they can view special prices offered to them only.
A very distinguished feature for any company that wishes to offer their re-sellers a convenient system, save time and get useful information from the re-sellers on which products sell well. This gives you insight on stock, enables your customers to reach you at any time, even when you are sleeping.
Auto accept versus manual accept of customers
There is a box under the General Settings page that indicates whether your customers are auto-accepted or you wish to accept them manually. Shoperb enables to accept new customers manually–this way you can have a full control over who can access your re-seller platform and see the prices. You can also separate the prices between those customers–bigger customers can have an extra discount and so on.
