How to add products?

Adding products is one of the most important thing about your online store. In this guide we will explain in detail how to add products.

From Dashboard under "Product Management" choose "Products":




From "Products" click "Add new"product from upper right corner:




Product description: Add a product "Name" and "Description" to describe your product:





When you have added the product it’s first automatically in hidden state. You can change product status by choosing "Published" or "Unpublished" in the right corner at the top:



When its "Unpublished", it means that the product is not shown on your webpage and you can’t create collections with that product.

To publish your product, click "Save Changes":




After you have saved and published you can see that your product is active in Store.

When to use "Unpublished"?

It is useful when you pre-fill products for future collection or if stock runs out on a product and you don’t want to showcase the product during that time at store, but you don’t have to delete it.

Product Information

Add "Category", for instance, Women's Shoes
Add "Type", for instance, Footwear
Add "Brand", for instance, Aldo
Add "Template", if you have one

How to add Categories?

Under "Product Management" go to "Categories":




Click "Add Category"
Add "Category Name", for instances, "Jackets"
Add "Category Handle", how the category is named
Add "Category Parent", to specify what goes under main category
Add "Category Description", describe your category
Add "Category Image"




Save by "Add Category"

How to add product type?

Under "Product Management" go to "Product Types":
Click "Add Product Type":




Under "New Product Type" you can add "Details" of your products
Add "Image" and publish by clicking "Add Product Type":



Add "Product Price"
Add "Market price"- this indicates what the is the average market price for your item.

Product Dimensions

Add your "Product Dimensions"
Add product "Weight"
Add product "Width"
Add product "Height"
Add product "Depth"

Where I can change currency and units?

Go to "Settings", next "General" and "Edit Standards and Formats"
Choose suitable Time zone, Currency and Unit System
Click "Save"

Regenerate variants

You can also regenerate variants and add different sizes, colors, types.

Click "Regenerate variants"
Add, for instance, "Size" under "Option Value":







SEO settings

Add SEO settings to get better ranking for search engines.

Click "Edit" in the right corner:




This opens up "Settings":

Click "Save"



Add "Product Tags"



After you have added all the essentials for your product establishment, click "Save Changes".

How to edit existing product?

Go to "Products" in "Product Management"
Click on the product you want to update
Change or fill the details necessary
Click "Save Changes"

How to delete products?

Go to Products page in "Product Management"
Click on the product you want to delete
Click "Delete"
