# Tax Rules

In Shoperb, adding taxes to regions should be one of the first steps the store owner makes. Each country can have a different tax. 

1. Go to **"Settings"**
2. Next **"Tax Rules"** and click on the country you would like to add a tax rule. 

Add Tax Rules to the countries you are selling:

On the right side you can see two options:

Tick a box if: 

1. **Taxes are also charged on shipping rates**

2. **Taxes are included in the product prices**

If selected, all taxes will be calculated using this formula: tax = (tax rate * price) / (1 + tax rate). For example : £ 1.00 at 20% VAT will be 0.17 (rounded). You can also choose both options. 

###### How to add taxes to shipping?

If you would like to add taxes to shipping, go to **"Shipping Methods"** under **"Settings"** and add countries where you allow shipping to and calculate your rates.
